The Gift of Motherhood - Prepared Childbirth

Learn about pregnancy, labor, and birth, and prepare for the experience by learning to use touch, massage, relaxation, and breathing as comfort measures during labor.
Six 2-hour classes

Childbirth Refresher

A class for you and your partner to refresh your memory about pregnancy, labor, and birth. A review of relaxation, massage, touch, and breathing as comfort and coping measures.
One 2-1/2-hour class

Informational Baby Shower

A class that will cover what you need to know to care for yourself and your new baby until the first doctor's visit.

Also a chance to be pre-admitted and complete paperwork before admission.

Cesarean Section Class

You will learn the reasons why cesarean birth is performed. We will discuss anesthesia and surgical procedures, feelings related to surgical birth, recovery, and the supportive role of partners.
Available by special appointment only (677-2451).

Sibling Class - Children ages 3 to 10

A class to help prepare 3- to 10-year-olds for the new arrival and to help them understand the joy of being a big brother or sister.

Infant/Adult CPR

This class will teach you skills needed to respond in an emergency.
This class is offered through Community Education. Register by calling 677-2102.
