The Back to Work Program helps to prepare the injured worker to
return to duty by providing physical conditioning in a simulated work
environment. Workers' compensation costs may be reduced by keeping the
employee in the work environment at a safe and productive level while
receiving beneficial therapy.
Physical Capacity Evaluations are performed to establish the worker's
capabilities to perform a wide variety of physical functions. These may
include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing. In
addition, an employee's range of motion is increased through flexibility,
endurance, and strength exercises.
Accreditation: Mercy Institute of Rehabilitation is one of two
facilities in Oregon accredited by Medicare as a Comprehensive Outpatient
Rehabilitation Facility (CORF). This accreditation allows our comprehensive
multidisciplinary team to serve our Medicare patients' rehabilitation
needs.
